Getting Started & Account Basics

Your Sumsub Academy account is automatically created the first time you enroll in a course. 

If you have already joined a course, simply log in using your existing credentials. If you’ve forgotten your password, you can reset it.

Don’t have a Sumsub Academy account yet? Follow these steps:

1. Go to Sumsub Academy page.

2. Select a course.

3. Complete the enrollment form.

4. Submit the form - your login details will be sent to your email.


To log in to your Sumsub Academy account:

1. Go to Sumsub Academy login page

2. Enter your email and password

3. Click Sign in

If you can’t sign in, select Forgot password? and follow the instructions in the Reset your password section below.

If you’ve forgotten your password, follow these steps:

1. Click Forgot Password? button

2. Enter the email you used to create the account

3. Click Submit button

4. Check your email for a password reset message

5. Click the Change my password link in the email

6. Enter and confirm your new password

7. Click Change My Password

8. Log in with your updated credentials

To ensure the highest security standards and consistent access to Sumsub Academy, our system is optimized for professional use.

Professional Email Requirement:

We require all learners to use a work/corporate email address. For security considerations, our system does not allow the use of public domains (such as @gmail.com, @yahoo.com, or @outlook.com). Accounts associated with public domains may be subject to automatic removal by our security filters.

If You are Currently Using a Personal Email:

To remain compliant with our security standards, please update your profile to a corporate email address as soon as possible. This ensures your progress and certificates remain securely linked to your professional identity.

How to Update Your Email Address:

1. Log in to your Sumsub Academy Dashboard.

2. Click on your Profile Icon in the top-right corner.

3. Select My Account from the dropdown menu.

4. Under your profile settings, enter your new work email address and click Save Changes.

Navigating Sumsub Academy is simple! Use these key areas to manage your learning journey:

My Dashboard: Your personal home base. This page lists all courses you are currently enrolled in, allowing you to resume your progress instantly.

My Account: Access this page to update your profile, change your password, track enrollment history, or view your billing details.

Our Courses: Browse our full catalog of available learning paths. Simply click on any course that interests you to view the curriculum and enroll.

Inside the Course Player:

1. To advance, click the Complete & Continue button at the bottom right of each lesson.

2. Use the Sidebar on the left to track your progress through modules and jump between completed chapters.

3. To revisit a topic, you can click the Mark Incomplete button at any time.

Mandatory for Certification:

To receive your official certificate, you must complete the Learning Survey located at the very end of your course. Your certificate will only be triggered and sent to your email once this survey is submitted and your progress reaches 100%.

Pro-tip: If you have finished all lessons but haven't received your certificate, please double-check the sidebar to ensure the Learning Survey is marked as completed. Your certificate will only be issued once the survey is fully submitted and your progress reaches 100%.

Ready to start your learning journey? Follow the steps below based on your account status:

If you are new to Sumsub Academy:

1. Visit our Official Courses Page to browse our catalog

2. Click Start Learning or scroll down to explore specific topics

3. Select the course that interests you to view the curriculum

4. Complete the brief registration form to create your learner profile

5. Click Register Now to finalize your enrollment

6. Check your inbox for a confirmation email containing your login details and next steps

If you already have an account:

1. Log in directly to your Sumsub Academy Dashboard

2. Navigate to the Our Courses tab in the main menu

3. Select the new course you would like to join

4. On the course landing page, simply click Enroll Now

5. You will be redirected to the course player to begin your first lesson immediately

Courses & Progress

Most courses are available for completion free of charge for 3 months from your date of enrollment. After this 90-day period, your enrollment automatically expires to make room for new learners. When an enrollment expires, any partial progress is reset.

If you find your progress is missing, it is likely that your access period has ended. However, you can easily continue your learning journey by visiting the course page and re-enrolling to start the material fresh.

Please note: Once a course is fully completed and a certificate is issued, your record of completion is permanently saved in your profile, even if the active enrollment period ends.


To access your learning materials, simply visit your My Dashboard page. There, you can view and continue all the courses you are currently enrolled in.

A quick reminder: To keep our resources accessible for everyone, each course remains active for 3 months from your enrollment date. If your access period has expired before completion, don't worry—you can simply visit our Our Courses page to re-enroll and start fresh!


All certificates are sent to your email from [email protected] within 24 hours upon course completion. If you can’t find the email, please try to search the inbox by the course name. 

Note: You should complete all modules, pass all tests, and fill in the survey in the corresponding course. After receiving an email, you can download a certificate and share it on LinkedIn.


Certificates

To earn your certificate, please ensure you have completed all modules, passed all required tests, and submitted the Learning Survey at the end of the course.

Delivery Details: Once finished, you will receive an email from [email protected] with your credentials within 24 hours.

You can download your official certificate directly by following the link provided in that email.

Pro-Tip: If you don't see the email after 24 hours, please check your spam folder or search your inbox for "Sumsub Academy."


All official certificates are sent directly to your registered email address from [email protected]. Please allow up to 24 hours after finishing your course for the email to arrive.

Locating the Email:

If you do not see it in your inbox, please search for the specific Course Name or check your spam/junk folder, as automated certificates can sometimes be filtered there.

Completion Check:

If you still have not received your certificate after 24 hours, return to the course player and ensure the Learning Survey has been fully submitted. Your certificate will only trigger once the system confirms that every requirement has been met and your progress reaches 100%.

Pro-tip: Your certificate email includes a direct link to add your new credential to your LinkedIn profile with just one click!

To receive your certificate, you must complete all course modules, pass all required tests, and fill in the Learning Survey at the end of the course. Once these steps are finished, your certificate is automatically generated.

  • All certificates are sent to your registered email address from [email protected].
  • Please allow up to 24 hours after course completion for the email to arrive.
  • If you cannot find the message, try searching your inbox (and spam folder) for the specific Course Name.

Once you receive the email, you can download your certificate and share your achievement directly on LinkedIn!


If you are having trouble viewing or opening your certificate link, it is usually due to a browser or connection conflict. Please try the following standard troubleshooting steps:

1. Check Your Connection: Ensure you have a stable internet connection. If you are using a VPN or a restricted office network, try switching to a standard connection.

2. Clear Your Browser Cache: Old data can sometimes interfere with new links. Clearing your cache and cookies often resolves loading issues instantly.

3. Try an Incognito/Private Window: This bypasses any browser extensions (like AdBlockers) that might be stopping the certificate from popping up.

4. Switch Browsers: For the best experience, we recommend using the latest version of Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox.

Because our certificates are automatically generated based on your account details, any typos in your registration profile will appear on your final document. Here is how to resolve this:

1. Update Your Profile for Future Courses:

To ensure all future certificates are accurate, please log in to Sumsub Academy Dashboard and navigate to My Account. There, you can update your first and last name to the correct spelling.

2. Request a Correction for an Existing Certificate:

If you have already received a certificate with an incorrect name, our support team can manually update it for you. Please send an email to [email protected] with the following details:

  • The correct spelling of your full name.
  • The name of the course you completed.

Once updated, we will provide you with a new direct link to your corrected certificate!

Pro-tip: Always double-check your profile information before starting your final module to ensure your credentials look perfect the first time.

Sharing your official certificate is a great way to showcase your expertise. Please follow these simple steps:

1. Open Your Certificate Link: Locate the official certificate link sent to your email from [email protected] upon course completion.

2. Locate Sharing Options: On the certificate page, you will see various social media sharing options in the bottom-right corner.

3. Share to LinkedIn: Click the "Post on LinkedIn" button in the highlighted area to add the credential to your profile or share it as a post.

4. Follow LinkedIn Prompts: Follow the on-screen instructions to either add the achievement to your Licenses & Certifications section or post it directly to your feed.
